Growing up as the daughter of an estate superintendent in New York State, as children my siblings and I had the good fortune to spend many long hours in the woods, fields and by the lake. My parents’ did not permit a television in our home, instead they encouraged us to be creative
whenever we did spend time indoors.

Scientific illustration is drawing natural subjects so accurately that the drawing gives complete information about the subject and can be used without the aid of text.
In short it melds the two subjects I have always loved the most -
Nature and Art.
It is my joy to express myself creatively by rendering natural subjects in a variety of media as well as to teach others how to observe carefully and realistically illustrate objects in the natural world.
